JAKARTA |BELUPOS.COM] – Nama Kompol Cosmas Kaju Gae, putra Ngada, NTT, akhirnya tercatat dalam lembar hitam Polri. Rabu (3/9/2025), melalui Sidang Komisi Kode Etik Polri (KKEP), ia resmi dipecat dengan tidak hormat.
Ia bukan polisi biasa: pernah berdiri di garis api Poso, menyusuri reruntuhan Ambon, hingga bertugas dalam pasukan perdamaian di Timur Tengah. Bekas peluru masih melekat di bahu kirinya; langkahnya pincang di kaki kanan, saksi bisu sebuah medan asing.
Namun, semua catatan pengabdian itu runtuh setelah ia terseret dalam kasus kematian pengemudi ojek online, Affan Kurniawan.
Dengan suara tertahan saat putusan dibacakan, Cosmas menatap ke atas, menahan air mata. “Ketua kode etik yang terhormat, saya hanya menjalankan instruksi perintah atas sebagai rasa tanggung jawab,” ujarnya.
